Fire Engineering Expert Joins the Wintech Leadership team

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Max McCarthy, who will be leading the Fire Engineering Consultancy Services as Head of Fire Engineering.

Max joins Wintech to support the growth of the company’s ambitions to provide a holistic façade engineering service, through the provision of a Fire Engineering specialisation to help deal with the nations combustible cladding crisis and build a fire engineering division within the Group.

Over the course of his career, Max has developed and lead technical and consultancy services across a broad range of projects within multiple sectors, including new residential and commercial buildings. With a wealth of technical fire safety and construction experience gained within the commercial and local government sectors, Max is an esteemed industry professional and thought leader within the industry.

Paul Savidge MD explains, “As a group we are building upon our current core strength of Façade Engineering services, looking to serve our clients and industry with a holistic solution. This appointment reflects the company’s commitment to the building safety crisis and the clear vision of leading the industry through this period of change. Max has deep knowledge, experience and a proven track record of driving growth and business development; we are excited about him joining our leadership team.

Max holds a number of qualifications in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Safety Design, Fire and Rescue and fire risk auditing. He is a Chartered Building Engineer, Chartered Builder and has membership of the following Professional Bodies – the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE), The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (MCABE), The Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
