Government Guidance for Building Owners
The UK Government have published an information note for owners of tall residential buildings with ACM cladding. Façade Engineering is now being recognised within the Building Safety Programme and the Government’s DCLG as a professional discipline, important in the understanding of fire safety of cladding on buildings.
The newly updated Building Safety Programme is a co-ordinated national response to the fire at Grenfell Tower; the information can be found in the following links:

The information note was put together following a series of discussions, workshops and specialist input from organisations and individuals with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry. This includes the Society of Façade Engineering for which Chris Macey (Wintech CEO) and Wintech were happy to constructively contribute.
