Fire Engineering Expert Joins the Wintech Leadership team
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Max McCarthy, who will be leading the Fire Engineering Consultancy Services as Head of Fire Engineering.
Max joins Wintech to support the company’s ambitions to provide a holistic façade engineering service, through the provision of a Fire Engineering specialisation. With the aim of assisting and dealing with the Nation’s combustible cladding crisis and build a fire engineering division within the Group.
Over the course of his career, Max has developed and lead technical and consultancy services across a broad range of projects within multiple sectors, including new residential and commercial buildings. With a wealth of technical fire safety and construction experience gained within the commercial and local government sectors, Max is an esteemed industry professional and thought leader within the industry.

Max holds a number of qualifications in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Safety Design, Fire and Rescue and fire risk auditing. He is a Chartered Building Engineer, Chartered Builder and has membership of the following Professional Bodies – the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE), The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (MCABE), The Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
