Wintech continues to drive the importance of Façade Design & Engineering with University of Wolverhampton students

In furthering our partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, Wintech’s Design Operations Manager, Mark Voss, was invited to the Springfield Campus to present a lecture to undergraduate Architectural Design students and post-graduate Architecture students.

Mark’s lecture ‘Introduction to Façade Design and Detailing Considerations’ provided students with knowledge of the Façade Engineering industry, informing them of the processes taken to ensure efficient building design and how impact can be made through early input from Façade Designers.

Praising the value of Mark’s lecture, the University commented:

“Huge thanks to Mark Voss from Wintech Group who came in to talk to some of our undergrad and postgrad students today about Façade design and detailing. This will be a great help as they work on exciting design projects for their client RAF Cosford Museum”.

Speaking of his experience at the University and the importance of making students aware of the Façade Engineering industry, Mark commented:

“It was a privilege to be invited to discuss the principals of façade detailing with a number of architecture students from Wolverhampton University at the impressive Springfield Campus.  The presentation highlighted the key contribution good detailing has on robust, energy efficient facades. Many thanks Dr Nigel Moore and the rest of the team at the Wolverhampton School of Architecture.  Hopefully this will be the start of a close collaboration with Wintech and the University of Wolverhampton to raise the importance of façade engineering”.

Wintech’s steadfast commitment to investing in and raising the profile of Façade Engineering in the education sector is a integral part of the company’s purpose.
