It was fantastic to be part of the recent Zak World of Façades event in Birmingham with Wintech’s Director and Sustainability lead Gurprit Bassi presenting the ‘Thermal Bridging Conundrum’ at the International Conference Centre.
Thermal bridges can account for up to 30% of heat loss in a building, and with net zero targets enshrined in law and updated guidance in conductive building materials now in force, the need for dedicated independent thermal bridging analysis is greater than ever.
Through targeting the worst performing thermal bridges, calculating them and then designing in detail to minimise energy loss, façade engineers can reduce heat loss, improve condensation performance and help you to meet your sustainability targets.
