Edinburgh Office marks first anniversary
Wintech are thrilled to be celebrating the one-year anniversary of their northern office in Edinburgh.
The opening of the Scottish office has enabled Wintech to better support its northern-based clients whilst reducing travel. It is also home to Wintech’s Façade Access and Maintenance Services led by Liam Shepherd with Façade Engineering services also being provided from this location.
Since the Edinburgh office opened, the team have achieved some important milestones including, becoming part of the UKGBC task group focusing on retrofitting non-residential buildings in Scotland; collaborating with The University of Edinburgh and raising the awareness of Façade Engineering; the office has efficiently reduced costs and travel time for Northern projects, gained acceptance in the local market, as well as expanding the office space to accommodate further recruitment of engineers within a 12 month period.
Speaking about the first anniversary of the Edinburgh office, Wintech’s Managing Director Paul Savidge commented: “As a group we are building upon our current core strength of Façade Engineering services, but also looking to prepare the business to assist with the nation’s Net Zero building transformation requirement.
Our office in Scotland is helping us to accommodate the new employees required to support the nation in this transformation. We have in recent years seen an increase in project activities in the North, and it was sensible to provide an office base in Scotland to help reduce our travel and associated Co2 emissions. The Edinburgh team is enabling us to meet the growing needs of our clients even more efficiently while still providing a high level of customer service”.
Edinburgh-based Associate Senior Façade Engineer, Pablo Ochoa added: “We are thrilled to mark our first year since opening the office in Scotland a year ago. We are also excited to see our vision become a reality, nearly tripling our capacity to accommodate engineers and a new team member Kal Uheida, with the hope of welcoming more in the future. The industry has warmly embraced Wintech’s services, extending beyond façade consultancy, and we eagerly anticipate tackling the challenges that the upcoming years will bring”.
