Implications of the Building Safety Act

In readiness for the implications of the Building Safety Act & the UK’s Net Zero Transformation requirements, the Wintech team came together earlier this week for a knowledge- sharing session. Whereby our divisions including, core services -Façade Engineering & Design, alongside Fire Engineering, Façade Access & Maintenance, Sustainability Services and Expert Witness Services engaged in a comprehensive presentation on our Mechanical & Electrical Services (M&E) led by Director, Sarah Southgate.
Sarah commented, “As the landscape of planning and building control approvals undergoes swift evolution, catalysed by the Building Safety Act, the integration of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services with façade design and specialist sub-contractors has become paramount. These shifts necessitate a fundamental rethinking of our approach to design work, emphasising early-stage involvement in a more significant capacity”.
We recognise that successful project outcomes hinge on robust collaboration among the design team and specialised sub-contractors, with design serving as the central orchestrator. Our approach underscores the crucial integration of M&E services within the design process, ensuring a comprehensive and cohesive project trajectory.
