The steel-framed four-storey headquarters in Colwyn Bay, North Wales have been designed with attentive consideration of the Victorian seaside town; its contemporary appearance signalling a bright future for the town. Golden-brown anodised metal panels are reminiscent of sandstone of the local St John’s Church, while silver anodised fins on the east and west façades help shade the internal environment from solar gain and allow good levels of natural daylight.
The vision was to achieve offices that are flexible, efficient and sustainable with A BREEAM rating of Excellent. Wintech worked with clients Muse Developments, main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland and AHR Architects to deliver Façade Consultancy services including participating as part of the design team and reviewing the site works as they progress.
The new premises accommodate around 750 staff after the 2018 completion.
