GMW Architects worked to a brief of sustainability and challenged conventional thinking. The structure is set at an angle to the street; the optimised orientation was an adopted passive design technique to harness winds and the sun’s heat. The long Brise Soleil is constructed from white aluminium and reaches out into the street.  Natural ventilation and rainwater recycling are also some of the environmental factors incorporated into the design and engineering of the building which achieved a BREEAM level of “Excellent”.

The building which was completed in June 2012 was provided with full facade consultancy services by Wintech.
